High school prepares you for exams — but who prepares you for life?

At The School of Skills, we believe that real success comes from more than just good grades and college admissions. Today’s teens are growing up in a world that demands creativity, confidence, emotional intelligence, and practical life skills However, most kids lack the know-how when it comes to pitching ideas, building a portfolio, navigating real-world coping mechanisms like finance management, food preparation, self-defense and simply asking the right questions.

Vijaykumar Arumugam

Vijaykumar Arumugam is an artist/illustrator/story teller of Indian origin. NID graduate and concept artist at rythm and hues studios Mumbai.Vijayakumar Arumugam is an illustrator from Chennai. With a B.Sc. in Visual Communication from Loyola college and a Post-Graduation in Animation Film Design from NID, he worked in advertising for 3 years before launching himself independently in Mumbai.

Visual Merchandising & Apparel Design

Maneesha Sharma

Manisha is a postgraduate in Apparel Design and Merchandising from National

Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India.

Before heading the visual merchandising with the Puma Group, she was with Aldo, Aldo Accessories, Future group.

Vineet Mahajan

Founder of advertising agency – The Viem Collective. Vineet Mahajan is one of the country’s most awarded and feted creative professionals. A Bachelor of Fine Arts by education, Mahajan – not surprisingly – likes to see the world from an artist’s viewpoint – a canvas where everything is grist to his mill.In his 16 years in advertising, that includes stints at Ogilvy and McCann, Vineet has worked on a plethora of categories.

Shifu Kanishk Sharma

Martial Arts & Survival Expert

Shifu Kanishka Sharma is the first Indian to have gained the title of “Shifu” from the famous Shaolin Temple China.Shifu kanishka has spent 32 years of his life training in various martial arts and created his own system called Shifu Kanishka Combatives. His system majorly comprises of street survival tactics that’ is easy to learn and can be applied right away.

Amrai Dua

Fine Arts, Creative Expression, Art for Healing

Amrai Dua brings her unique perspective to life through graphic design, illustrative paintings, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the College of Art, New Delhi. Amrai believes in the transformative power of art and artists. In her view, they possess the extraordinary ability to provoke thought, facilitate healing, inspire change, challenge norms, and offer hope.

Creative Director, Event design Pro

Creative head in the events industry .Kanishka Singha, is currently a Creative Director at Hatch. Kanishka Singha brings experience from previous roles at thot, THOT Media Pvt Ltd,, T.I.C. Integrated Marketing Services and Encompass Events. With a robust skill set that includes Event Management, Project Management, Graphic Design, Photoshop, Strategy and more.

Zoe Modgill

Fitness Instructor, Creative Entrepreneur

Zoe Modgill is a founder and instructor at Studio 60, a group fitness gym that's been responsible for bringing spunk back into working out and for getting women in Delhi to pump and work out hard. .She studied at The British School and then increased her skill set in graphic designing from Central Saint Martins.She worked at Equis Advertising for a year where she spent the usual 10-12 hours hunched in front of a computer and soon realised something needed to change. She decided to give group fitness a go and before you know it, she was hooked.

Nafisa Crishna

Illustrator, Tattoo Artist

Nafisa Nandini Crishna has been an illustrator and maker for the last 20 years. Having graduated with an undergrad degree in textile design from Srishti School of Art Design and Technology, she then spent 12 years working in the field of visual communication and did a double masters in Barcelona from EINA Centre Universitari de Disseny I Art and ELISAVA Barcelona School of Design and Engineering specialising in narrative illustration.
She has worked with corporates, NGOs and independently and brings her knowledge and expertise of navigating all these terrains across three different countries to the table.She is also a tattoo artist in London.

Priyanka Bhasin

Founding Partner, Design Stack

Priyanka Bhasin graduated in Communication Design at the National Institute of Design, followed by a programme in New Media from the Vancouver Film School. With a strong foundation in design strategy and experience in emerging media, she and her partner, Anoop Patnaik, set up Design Stack in 2008.At Design Stack, intuitive, free-thinking finds structure through strategic planning tools. As specialists in branding and graphic design, their approach is rooted in Design Thinking, with the singular objective of finding resonance between brands and their consumers.

Aakash Shivdasani

VFX Artist, Producer & Entrepreneur

Co-founder of The School of Skills. With a Masters Diploma in VFX and animation from The Art institute of Vancouver, Aakash's 25 years of experience have encompassed being a VFX artist, VFX Producer and a VFX Studio Owner in Mumbai. Having gone through the process of applying , studying & living abroad and then setting up a business around the creative arts, Aakash pivots to helping students navigate all that in much the same way.

Aditi Khurana

Artist, Counselor

Co-founder of The School of Skills. As an International Regional Coordinator for a leading design school in the US, Aditi has over 18 years of experience in the art and design field and a B.F.A in Applied Arts. In her current role, she uses her design, project management, and communication skills to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies and outreach activities in India, Singapore and the Middle East. She also provides guidance and support to applicants throughout the admission process, from application to enrollment. The School of Skills is an offshoot of years of experience in this field.
